I own a TH585P as well, which costs much less. It's very similar but it does a lot more like 120Hz and 4K. Still have to run the calibration but I already see that is very close to the TH585P so I expect it can get to the same deltaE at around 4. Bit sad that the Benq monitors can support LUT transfer via USB with Calman and nothing, even basic control via RS-232, with the projectors. The rainbow effect is much less than the TH585P but still there of course. You must not be sensible to it so try it immediately once purchased; if it doesn't work for you send it back. I see some complaints about the "visible borders" around the image. That's the DMD chip which is bigger than the projected 1080p area. Nothing special, it's absolutely normal and expected in this price range. What is a bit sad is that you have the borders also laterally, which the TH585P doesn't have. This means that the projector could have also horizontal keystone and shift. Unfortunately something that must have been removed probably just for commercial reasons. What is also very odd is that Benq support doesn't know about it... they probably have not been trained properly. Never had to call them, luckily. In any case you stop noticing as soon as you actually look at the picture. Like all projectors you need a proper screen to enjoy it fully and in this case with the amazing SmartEco lamp mode, it will also prolong the lamp life. Lo compré basicamente para jugar y ver peliculas. Calidad de imagen buena, permite muchos ajustes. La frustración viene cuando quieres ver contenido 3D. La mayoria de peliculas estan en un formato que este proyector no admite. Volveré a valorar el producto si actualizan el aparato con un firmware para admitir los formatos standard. Me compré las gafas 3d junto al proyector y las voy a tener que devolver porque es una caracteristica que, podemos decir , no incorpora. Mi gozo en un pozo. Bought to replace a BenQ TH681. Newer models have a bit less connectivity (HDMI only, no SCART, S-VHS or composite ins), but that's OK for me as I have a converter device for older input formats. The TH685P supports HDR and 4k downscaling to its native FHD resolution, it's a bit noisier than the older one but still reasonable. If you're a home cinema first user you may find it a bit noisy during calmer sequences. The airflow design is also better than on the 681, which is always a good thing for those devices.
